Women are vastly under-represented in the Tech professions: they occupy just 12% of developer positions, and half leave the sector within the first ten years of their career. Only 6% of tomorrow's AI developers are women. This low gender mix has far-reaching consequences, particularly for the development of technologies and artificial intelligence models, where gender bias is omnipresent.
How can we explain these inequalities, and what are the consequences for the digital tools that shape our daily lives? From algorithms that perpetuate sexist stereotypes to automated decisions that reinforce inequalities, this conference highlights the links between the lack of diversity in IT and gender biases in Tech and AI.
What levers can be used to promote more inclusive Tech and more ethical AI? How can we attract and retain more women in the sector? By combining an analysis of the mechanisms at work with concrete avenues for action, this conference offers essential food for thought on how to build a more inclusive and responsible Tech industry.
