Founder of re·wor·l·ding, trainer and consultant in inclusive communication, coach in inclusive leadership.

Every day, we write dozens of emails, instant messages, and presentations. Forty years of scientific studies have shown that the words we use shape our perception of the world and our actions within it—especially when it comes to gender equality and the dominance of the masculine form in the French language.

Inclusive language is a set of methods available to us to represent and include everyone in our written and spoken communication. It is a powerful tool—accessible to all and free to use.

This conference will help you understand why inclusive language matters, how you can adopt it, and how to develop a critical mindset toward everyday words to take concrete action against discrimination.

60 minutes to demystify inclusive language and form your own opinion!

About Alicia Birr:

After starting her career in the creative industries, Alicia Birr specialized in supporting organizations through digital transformation. As Strategic Planning Director at Google France, she explored online consumer behaviors while also implementing inclusive management practices and leading projects to engage managers in discussions on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Committed to gender equality since her studies at Sciences Po, she has continued her feminist advocacy by mentoring young women and, in 2021, launched re·wor·l·ding—a project dedicated to deconstructing language to rebuild a fair and diverse world. Through this initiative, she encourages a critical approach to everyday language and promotes the practice of precise and inclusive communication.
