Although the idea of an egalitarian corporate world is appealing - a world where, once you've entered the workplace, gender is no longer a determining factor in terms of know-how, interpersonal skills and perhaps even can-do attitude - we're not there yet, and we're still a long way off...
Together, we're going to understand the differences between men's and women's experience of, and relationship with, the workplace as a result of their gender.
To do this, we'll start by dissecting the influence of a gendered upbringing on our representations and aspirations, then analyze how the company is the magnifying mirror of this gendered society. Finally, we'll share a number of possible initiatives, at the level of the individual, the manager, the company and society as a whole, to reverse this trend and help build an equal professional world.
