Managers have a huge responsibility to create a respectful and inclusive working environment. However, they can be confronted with often unintentional behaviour that can undermine the trust and well-being of our teams: microaggressions.

These seemingly innocuous comments or actions can have a devastating impact on those who are targeted. During this conference, we will explore how to identify these microaggressions, understand their impact on the work climate and, most importantly, how to respond to them constructively.

Objectives:

  • Recognise microaggressions and discrimination in the workplace;

  • Reframe inappropriate behaviour and violence in the workplace;

  • Identify weak signals;

  • Develop a caring environment: the importance of empathy

  • Receive and process information;

  • Know key internal contacts and procedures.
