A social entrepreneur, Jean co-founded and directs Konexio, an association that promotes the socio-professional inclusion of people belonging to vulnerable groups.
Women are underrepresented in the Tech industry. Only 30% of employees inTech, all professions combined, are women. From school onwards, only 33% of girls are encouraged by their parents to go into Tech, compared to 61% of boys (survey conducted in 2021 by the computer school Epitech and Ipsos).
The challenge today is to find efficient solutions to promote the place of women in Tech and more broadly in the scientific professions.
With this in mind, Jean Guo will explore three key topics in his conference:
• Changing the imagination about science and digital technologies to promote new role models for young girls.
• Promoting better recruitment processes: from inclusive job offers to customized support in companies.
• Change mentalities and raise awareness from secondary school onwards to redefine the archetype of the scientist.
