Is mental load simply a question of stress that could be reduced with marine magnesium? Or is this person-centered approach to mental load the tree that hides the forest? ... And if so, what forest are we talking about?
These are the questions we will address during this participatory conference, which will explore the origins of mental load and its consequences, before looking into individual and collective reflection and action pathways.
Through quizzes, experience-sharing, and theoretical contributions, we will highlight the links between mental load and gender equality, while delving into our shared history and culture to take a step back from the gendered expectations that daily fuel this load.
Finally, we will discuss how to implement actions to:
Step back from gendered expectations;
Make conscious choices to reduce the load;
Have calm discussions with your partner or colleagues.
