Florence Alix-Gravellier
Florence Alix-Gravellier is a Paralympic medalist, author and speaker. She shares her story to change the place, visibility and storytelling of differences.
Athlete. Female. Disabled.
Ever since she was a child, Florence Alix Gravellier has struggled with the question of identity, around which her differences and singularities revolve. The hip malformation she was born with has placed her in an intermediate group, the group of the walking-impaired, neither completely able-bodied nor completely disabled.
A graduate of Sciences Po Bordeaux, a Paralympic medallist and an infertile mother, she has carved out her own path through life, learning to walk again after each fall, and now shares the lessons she has learnt.
In this talk, Florence begins by sharing her journey as a disabled female athlete and the challenges she has had to face. Secondly, she will pass on practical advice and tips to help her audience understand the issues surrounding disability in the workplace and transform their working environment into a space of diversity, innovative and effective, where everyone can fulfil their potential and contribute with their own talents.
This conference will help you to overcome the biases and prejudices surrounding disability, in a positive atmosphere.
