Why is discrimination still so prevalent, even as we become more aware of diversity and inclusion in the workplace? One of the answers lies in our own neural functioning! In fact, 99.999996% of the information we receive is processed unconsciously by our brains. This cognitive function, common to each of us, creates errors (biases) that we are unaware of and that can cause us to discriminate involuntarily.

This training is divided into three parts:

  1. A brief introduction to the challenges of diversity and inclusion in the workplace: Understanding the key concepts of diversity, inclusion and non-discrimination. Where do we stand in the workplace? Why is it so difficult to make progress on these issues? Key figures, legal frameworks and definitions.

  2. Unconscious biases: How do our cognitive biases influence our perceptions of others, including their gender, age, sexual orientation, cultural or ethnic background, etc.? What unconscious stereotypes underlie our judgments? How can these biases affect our professional interactions and decisions?

  3. Developing inclusive management practices and addressing discrimination: How can we identify and overcome these biases to create an inclusive, respectful and fair work environment for all? Best practices and concrete tools for implementing inclusive management.
