Developing inclusive management practices
Developing inclusive management practices
Learning objectives
- Understand the legal framework and key definitions of diversity, inclusion and non-discrimination.
- Identify unconscious biases and stereotypes, understand their mechanisms and analyze their impact in a professional context.
- Recognize situations conducive to exclusion, promote inclusive leadership and apply best practices to foster a work environment where everyone feels valued and respected, and can deploy their full skills and talents.
The training is divided into three parts:
Preventing Discrimination and Promoting Inclusion: Understanding the key concepts of diversity, inclusion and non-discrimination. Where are we in the workplace? Why is it so difficult to make progress on these issues? Key figures, legal frameworks and definitions.
Unconscious bias and stereotypes: mechanisms, impact in the workplace, and strategies to address them.
Developing inclusive management practices: best practices and concrete tools for implementing inclusive management (team diversity, communication, rewards and recognition, career development, access to training, flexibility and accessibility of work, team life, work-life balance, criteria for excellence, speaking time in meetings, maternity/parental leave, etc.).
