Regardless of the type of management, the manager is a key player in the successful integration of a disabled person.
When a company has developed a disability policy and an inclusive approach, it is the manager's responsibility to welcome and integrate a disabled employee into his or her department and team, and to ensure that the person remains in the job. Disability can also arise in the course of employment. The attitude of the manager will play an important role in the process of retaining the employee.
