Learning objectives
- Defining the key concepts of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
- Recognising the key elements in identifying a high-risk or already violent situation.
- Knowing the procedure for reacting, knowing how to support alleged victims, knowing who the internal parties are.
Descriptive
This one-day training course, aimed at ERGs / task forces / ambassadors and D&I representatives, is structured around three parts.
1 - Understanding
Objective: Defining the key concepts of diversity and inclusion in the workplace
- Discrimination: legal framework, different discrimination criteria, definitions and examples
- Distinguishing between discrimination prevention and diversity & inclusion
- Identifying and understanding the different forms of discrimination:
- Sexism, sexual harassment and bullying: definitions, key figures, legal framework and examples
- Racism, LGBTQIA+ phobia, ageism, fatphobia, ableism, etc. : definitions, key figures and examples
2 - Preventing & Detecting
- Objective: to know how to recognise the key elements in identifying a situation that is at risk or already violent
- Case studies based on a number of real-life situations to identify the elements that need to be recognised
3 - Reacting
- Objective: know the procedure for reacting, know how to support alleged victims, know who the internal parties are
- Case studies based on real situations to identify the procedure to be followed when faced with a situation (behaviour outside the company, an alleged victim who does not wish to report, a high-risk situation but no illegal comments or behaviour, etc.).
