The Digital Collage (La fresque du numérique)
The Digital Collage, that was created by Aurélien Déragne and Yvain Mouneu with a similar pedagogy to the Climate Fresk, is a fun, collaborative 3-hour workshop.
The aim is to raise awareness and pass knowledge to participants about the environmental challenges that are caused by digital technology. Indeed, although the impact of digital technology on the environment is less "obvious" to citizens than the impact of other industries, it is not less significant. Today, half the world's population uses digital technology. However, computing and all information technologies require the installation of heavy infrastructures whose environmental impact - in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, for example - is currently greater than the impact of other sectors such as civil aviation .
Beyond raising awareness, the Digital Collage also aims to explain, in broad terms, what are the solutions for a more sustainable and responsible digital future, and to open up discussions between participants on that topic.
In accordance with the terms of the user license, a usage fee is paid to the association “La Fresque du Numérique” at the end of each workshop.
