From ocean racing to ocean commitment
Catherine Chabaud
Catherine Chabaud, French sailor and journalist, is the first woman to complete the Vendée Globe solo (1996-1997). She is a committed campaigner for the preservation of the ocean, through associative, political and European initiatives.
Committed to the preservation of the oceans and sustainable development, Catherine Chabaud enriches her account with concrete examples drawn from her involvement in associations and her political experience in the European Parliament. Through the prism of marine and environmental issues, she illustrates concrete solutions for ecological transition and the importance of a European vision for action in the face of climate challenges. Drawing on her experience as a sailor, she will also discuss the challenges of women's leadership and the boldness required to overcome barriers and change mindsets.
This interactive conference guarantees an inspiring and thought-provoking moment, punctuated by a time for discussion with the audience.
