A European tour of solutions to climate change
A European tour of solutions to climate change
Célia Poncelin & Léo Primard
Célia and Léo went on a tour of Europe in 2021 to write a book about possible solutions to climate change. Their journey is still going on thanks to a podcast and a movie soon.
What are the solutions to climate change?
Célia and Léo tried to answer this question during the lockdown, in the midst of their growing awareness of the ecological emergency. They quickly realised that it was difficult to get a clear vision about possible solutions, and that the topic was being dealt with from a very pessimistic angle.
Discouraged by this observation, they decided to leave everything behind to go and meet those who are working towards a more sustainable world.
They travelled 20,000 km in a vehicle they had fitted out themselves, conducting interviews in the sectors that emit the most greenhouse gases.
All of this was condensed into a book that they published on their return, before launching a podcast and (soon) a film on climate inaction.
Between decoding and travelling, Célia and Léo take us on a positive adventure, full of meaning and awareness. They talk about their journey, the need to bring something positive back to life, and how they are raising awareness among their relatives and community.
Their presentations is designed to be as inclusive as possible. Everyone can participate with open questions on the subjects covered. Personalised interaction formats can even be considered, depending on needs. At the end of the conference, participants will get a better understanding of ecological issues, an overview of the innovations that are being implemented in different sectors (energy, food, mobility, etc.), and concrete action plans to act at their own level.
